CEO’s STATEMENT

Hi, my name is Roger Gagliardi; I’m the Chief Executive Officer and founder of TeacherTom.com. You know, many people have asked me why I started this business, why I involved myself in education…

The answer is simple, but goes back many years to when I was at school. Back in the late sixties and early seventies, when I did my schooling, things were very different, and less was known about learning habits. There was less pressure on kids than there is today - and less competition in the workplace. Being the son of immigrant parents, schooling support at home was treated differently.

I had a great time at school, though unfortunately I did not study enough and paid the price at exam time, by not doing as well as my classmates. I did not realise it then, but I realise now how that affected me in the long run. Wasted time is wasted opportunity. And wasted opportunity can be very expensive.

I now have children of my own, who are close to finishing school. As a parent, and being well aware of my own experience, I have given them every chance to do well, because I realise how important it is for a parent to offer whatever support they can to their kids to enable them to do well and achieve good marks. It opens many doors in life and most importantly, gives them more options.

Through my marketing business, I was exposed to the available range of on-line tutorial programs. I chose the best ones available and built TeacherTom.com to bring these programmes to the world.

Mathematics and English Grammar are the two main subjects that most students struggle with. Now that English has become the universal language, I feel it is important for all people on this planet to have the opportunity to speak, read and write English correctly. After all, communication between us all is probably one of the most important things today.

I sincerely hope that TeacherTom.com, through the programmes it offers, can make a difference to someone’s life by supplying them with the knowledge and understanding, greater confidence and the opportunity to improve their chances in life.
